Cord Length
The appropriate cord length for the ST3 Swim Tether is determined by various factors such as pool features and the swimmer's height and reach.
Considerations
- Longer cord will be needed if install base is set further back than 1 ft
- Is there a Baja shelf, a ledge or steps to avoid?
- As a rule of thumb, cords will stretch 1/3 of its static length
- While swimming, the ST3 will flex up to 39.5" from the centerline in its static position
Recommendations - every install situation is unique and may require some calculating. We've found that in most cases one of the following standard length cords will be ideal.
- Standard - 4.5 ft cord for swim spas less than 10ft
- Standard - 6 ft cord for most swim spas or pools less than 14ft
- Standard - 8 ft cord for most pools
- Custom - lengths are available up to 20ft
Comfort
For optimal comfort, place the belt on the front of your hip bones with roughly 2 inches of slack between the small of your back and the adjustable slider.
